The Legend of Zelda protagonist ‘Link’ named “Hottest Video Game Character” by gay and lesbian monthly Out.

The Legend of Zelda series has won numerous awards in its near two-decade run, but one magazine is calling out the game’s hero, the boyish elf Link, as a perfect 10. The June issue of Out, a magazine focusing on gay and lesbian culture, named the green-leotard-wearing hero as the Hottest Video Game Character in its “What’s Hot Now” section for his role in the upcoming GameCube and Wii release, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. - Full story at Gamespot

So, Nintendo is planning to release this game eh? To be honest, I’m actually looking forward to this game.

The Japanese Title for this game is Mogitate Tingle no Barairo Rupee Land (literally translated as Tingle’s Freshly-Picked Rose-Colored Rupee Land) is a Nintendo DS RPG video game starring Tingle, a character from various games in The Legend of Zelda series from Nintendo.

It is currently planned to be released in 2006 in Japan. There is currently no release date outside of Japan.

The game starts from the time when he was just an average middle-aged man. While living out the dull days of the main character’s life, he receives a devine message stating to visit “The Spring”. In doing so and visiting the spring, he is confronted by a person who names himself Rupee-ji (Old Man Rupee). The main character learns that if he saves rupees (money) and throws them into the spring, he will be taken to the dream paradise of “Rupee Land”. After agreeing to the task, he changes into “Tingle” through Magic. Where Rupees are everything, and if you run out, you must shoulder the fate of also running out of life. [Read more…]

Woo hoo! Just got this from GoNintendo, reader Jonathan0321 found some cool music tracks from The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess ! There are 5 tracks in total. I love the Overworld Theme, the beginning of it sounds very similar to the Overworld theme from Ocarina of Time but later becomes totally different. I love the sound of flute/ocarina towards the end. I was doing some room cleaning the other day and I found my copy of Soul Blade (The Japanese Version is named Soul Edge), the first fighting game that I bought when I got my PlayStation back in 1997. The opening cutscene and the theme song was amazing, I was so impressed with the graphics when I first seen it and I have to mention again, the music ROCKS! One thing bothering me was, although I think the song was superb, and I’ve probably listened to it more than a hundred times, I still couldn’t figure out what the singer was singing, so I did a little googling and I found a video that comes with the LYRICS.
