Well, the problem with this game was that the guys over at Philips couldn’t be arsed to make a proper game, so they hired a bunch of russians to do it (of all people). This was when the fall of the soviet empire was like only 4 or 5 years before, and the russian market had just opened up. Nowadays they can deliver good games, like S.T.A.L.K.E.R for example. but back then, things weren’t that good.

So bad programming, bad level design, bad voice acting, bad drawing and bad animation. Yup, sounds like CD-I to me. =)
